Heiko is CFO and Managing Director of HV Capital. He grew up in a small village in East Westphalia, where a finance-oriented family sparked an early fascination with numbers. At 14, he was already interning at the local bank. After vocational training as a banker and a stint as a corporate banking consultant, he studied European Business Management at the Private University of Economics in Paderborn, graduating with honours.

His first real taste of startup life came at Bertelsmann Online (BOL), where he ran controlling and accounting for Germany and Switzerland. From there, he became International CFO of Parship, spending six years expanding the matchmaking platform into 14 countries. That experience taught him exactly what fast-growing companies need to scale internationally, and it's what he has brought to HV since joining in 2008. Outside of work: family first, then photography, skiing, trekking, and cars.
