Kilian is VP IT and Engineering at HV. He grew up in the Swabian Alb, moved to Munich as a teenager, and spent six months in Kenya during school with a development aid organization. He read Geography at LMU Munich, then took a master's in Environmental Planning and Geoinformatics at TU Munich, working in parallel as an IT specialist and, later, in leading IT roles at LMU.

Before HV he was Head of IT at Zentrum Digitalisierung Bayern, the state-owned think tank, where he learned how to instill a cloud-first, high-velocity mindset inside a public-sector organization, and freelanced on M&A IT integrations on the side. At HV he is designing a tech landscape that lets the team forget about the technology and focus on the work, and acts as product owner for the investment team's software. Off the clock: cooking, classical music, sailing, and dabbling in electronics.
