Matthias is Finance Manager at HV. He grew up in a village in the Allgäu, where his fascination with accounting took shape during secondary school and an apprenticeship as an industrial clerk. He went on to obtain his A-levels and read Business Administration in Ingolstadt. He joined Deloitte in 2015, rising over seven years to Manager leading audit teams across closed-end funds and regulated capital management companies, and qualified as a certified German tax advisor (Steuerberater) along the way.

He then spent three years at private equity firm AURELIUS as Finance Manager in Group Accounting, overseeing portfolio company integrations and contributing to both annual and consolidated financial statements. He joined HV's finance team in search of a wider perspective and new challenges. Off the clock: the mountains, family, sport, and travel.
