Matthias grew up in a picturesque village in the Allgäu region, where he first discovered his passion for accounting during secondary school and his subsequent training as an industrial clerk. After completing his apprenticeship, he decided to obtain his A-levels and pursued a degree in Business Administration at the University of Ingolstadt.

Inspired by the challenges and opportunities for personal and professional growth, Matthias began his career at Deloitte in 2015. Over the following years, he advanced through several positions, ultimately becoming a Manager responsible for leading multiple audit teams. His work primarily focused on auditing the annual financial statements of closed-end fund companies across various asset classes, as well as regulated capital management companies. During this time, he developed a deep understanding of stakeholder interests and earned his qualification as a certified tax advisor.

After seven successful years at Deloitte, Matthias sought new professional horizons and joined AURELIUS, a private equity firm, as a Finance Manager within the Group Accounting department. In this role, he oversaw the integration of several portfolio companies and contributed to the preparation of both annual and consolidated financial statements.

After three years at AURELIUS, Matthias embraced the opportunity to broaden his perspective and take on new challenges by joining the finance team at HV Capital.

Outside of work, Matthias enjoys spending time in the mountains, being with his family, or engaging in various sports activities as well as exploring the world.
