Emma grew up obsessed with rockets and outer space, which led her to a Master's in Astrophysics at LMU Munich focused on dark matter research. During her studies, she collaborated with teams across China, Italy and Switzerland on the DAMPE 2 Dark Matter Space Telescope project, one of the most ambitious international science programs of its kind. A stint at BlackRock across global management strategies, fund launches and private debt followed, before she joined HV Capitals deep tech team as an Analyst. She still gives personal observatory tours.

Emma focuses on growth-stage deep tech across new space, future of compute and hardware. She is drawn to scientific founders solving hard technical problems and brings the rigour to engage with them at that level. If a pitch requires a whiteboard and two hours, she's in.
