Jannis studied at WHU before joining HV portfolio company Scalable Capital during its pre-product phase, getting an unusually early look at what it takes to build from scratch. From there, HelloFresh in New York during a period of rapid international expansion, then investing roles at Headline, Index Ventures and Lakestar. He joined HV's Growth Team in 2021 and has since backed n8n, Storyblok, Framer, Enpal, KoRo and Holy.

Jannis invests across two areas: AI-native software platforms and brand-first consumer companies with genuine cultural relevance. He focuses on Series B to Series D companies with strong product-market fit and multiple vectors for growth still ahead of them.
