Lina backs early-stage founders working at the frontier of AI or pushing adoption with B2B applications at HV Capital. Before ever writing a check, she co-founded two companies: DealKeren, a group buying platform in Indonesia acquired by LivingSocial, and Luster, a mobile commerce company in New York. She helped scale ResearchGate's commercial team and revenues from zero to $15 million taking on a multitude of roles including user acquisition, sales, and marketing. Her investment career started at Hasso Plattner Ventures, where she backed iZettle, GoEuro, and ReBuy, then at Target Global, where her she worked with companies like TravelPerk and Fresha.

Lina has lived and worked across the US, Europe and APAC and reads founder potential through a wider lens than most. Founders who work with her know they can reach out with any kind of question and get a response that is grounded and with an operator's perspective. 

She holds a degree in Philosophy, Law and Society from UC Riverside and a Business and Law Masters from Bucerius Law School and WHU. 

When Lina's not investing, she’s building and working with her hands. Tinkering with anything from cyberdecks to cool ways to implement AI, creating art, reading science fiction or making sandcastles with her toddler.
