Said invests at the earliest stages at HV Capital, from inception through Series A, across all sectors. He grew up watching his parents build a business against the odds, which taught him early what entrepreneurship actually costs. He studied Economics at Goethe University Frankfurt and Wharton, joined HV as an intern, then left to find out for himself. As CFO of a travel-tech startup, he led two financing rounds and learned the hard way that founding a company takes a lot of everything: things you should know, things people expect from you, and things you think you're completely alone with. That experience is what brought him back to HV, and it's what he brings to every founder he works with. When he's not hunting for the next breakout company, he's chasing fitness trends or plotting a long-overdue DJ career.
Said is a generalist who backs founders at the very beginning. He looks for people who are a little obsessed, slightly unreasonable, and impossible to stop. Having built a company himself, he knows what the hard moments actually feel like and wants to be the first call when something is on a founder's mind, not just when things are going well.
